The Evo SLS is a high-performance all-round kite for Freeride / Freestyle / Wave.
SLS stands for Strong Light Superior, meaning the kite is designed to be lightweight, stiff, and very responsive.
2024 Update: The leading edge has been redesigned its thinner and uses a new Penta TX construction. This reduces weight but keeps the frame stiff, which boosts performance.
Thanks to this redesign, the kite has better handling and faster speed.
The kite gives aggressive lift: high take-off speed, very good lift, and a thrilling boost feel, due to its stiff frame and very dynamic steering.
Improved low-end: The new Flex Struts plus reduced weight help the kite turn quickly, climb fast, and fly more effectively at low wind.
SLS Construction Details: Uses high-performance materials: Penta TX for the frame, Trinity TX for the canopy. Lighter build + high stiffness + strong durability.
Pulley-less bridle system: No pulleys in the bridle, which gives a more direct feel, better control, and less maintenance.
Modern Trailing Edge Design: Narrower trailing edge + lighter materials reduce wear and make the kite profile sleeker.
Flex Struts: The Flex Struts are placed between the central and tip struts. They give a very reactive steering feel, combining agility of a 3-strut kite with the stiffness of a 5-strut frame.
Anti-Snag: Webbing that helps prevent lines from getting caught in the kite tips, which makes water starts safer and easier.
Kook Proof Connectors: The line connection system is designed to prevent misconnecting lines (prevents mistakes when rigging).
Penta TX Frame: This material reduces the overall weight (~ 15% less) and has very high tear resistance (5× more than standard). Also, it has 50% less elongation versus regular Dacron, giving very precise steering and stable structure, especially in strong wind.
Handling & Performance: The dynamic and responsive handling makes it great for controlled kite loops, bigger jumps, more hang time, with less input needed.
The kite is positioned as very versatile: its meant for riders chasing big air, hooked freestyle, freeriding, and wave riding it can do it all regardless of your level.
